30 Days Challenge: Part 1 of 4

My dearest ~ninahofmeister gave me a moleskine as a gift, and I decided I should put it to use with some style!
After talking about it with ~babilopes she sent me this 30 days meme-ish thing, and I decided to give it a go! =]

Day 1 — Yourself
I draw lots of self-portraits (I guess everyone does that), so I chose to draw me in a completely new way, and that's why I'm brushing my teeth there XD
The face was WAY tricky to do, I almost made a hole in the paper due too much erasing!

Day 2 — Favourite animal - Raven
There's not much to say about this one. The hardest part was finding a good reference picture.
_{Fun fact: I drew this while watching a random Pushing Daisies rerun, exactly the one about the carrier pidgeon.}

Day 3 — Favourite food - Brazilian Barbecue (Churrasco)
Tricky one!
My favourite cuisine is Thai, but the one thing all my favourite foods have in common is meat!
I almost drew a cow in this one! XD

Day 4 — Favourite place - My room (duh!)
I had TONS of fun drawing my desk! XD

Day 5 — Best friend - Guilherme (Sgun)
He's been my best friend for the past ten years, no surprise there.
But like in Day 1, I decided to give it a tiny twist and draw him this way, since he's been very interested in Pa-kua recently, and became very muscular during the last few months, so I exagerated that a little bit. =]

Day 6 — Favourite author - Jorge Luis Borges
OK, I cheated a little.
Originally I was supposed to draw my favourite book. But that's WAY tricky to me.
I have a favourite short story by Borges BUT it isn't in the book by him I enjoyed reading the most.
So I decided not to compromise and just draw him instead.
^{EDIT: Oh! And I drew him from memory, in 5mins, so please, excuse the inaccuracies XD}

Day 7 — Favourite movie - 12 Angry Men
The movie's knife has obviously some asian inspiration, but the actual drawing is indiscernible, so I took a poetic licence and drew the dragon in my left thumb ring XD

Day 8 — Favourite animated character - Freakazoid
This was the hardest one for me to choose from.
Freakazoid, Piccolo, Buzz Lightyear, Homer...... But I thought a cute version of Freakazoid would work better! =]

Day 9 — Favourite TV show - Firefly
SERENITY Y U NO SIMPLER?
This took me about SIX FUCKING HOURS to draw and I had to use a grid to get the basic outline right.
I had NEVER drawn any kind of real machine before, let alone a fucking spaceship.
I almost gave up and drew Penn & Teller instead! =\
