Finished(ish) at last! 
I used MDF for the blade, PVC for the cross-guard, faux stretchy leather for the grip and epoxi for the pommel
For the Valyrian Steel ripples I printed out the pattern on clear sticker paper.
It took A LOT of primmering and fine sanding to make everything smooth enough for the chrome paint, but I did it! Yay me!
Oh, and since you like Game of Thrones, have you seen my dragon egg tutorial?
